See New Cards from the Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising Expansion
Discover Mega Floette ex, a pair of useful Stadium cards, and more from the upcoming expansion.
More Mega Evolution Pokémon ex arrive in the upcoming new Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion, Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising. Leading the charge is Mega Floette ex, and we’re taking an early peek at this powerful card, along with a pair of Stadium cards that interact with Mega Floette ex in an interesting way. Not only that, but we have a couple other card previews as well, so join us for a look, and then get ready for the release of Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising on May 22, 2026.
Mega Floette ex
Mega Floette ex heads into battle with both offensive and defensive capabilities. Its Gentle Light attack, which heals 30 damage from each Pokémon for only oneEnergy, is great when your team has been in a scrap, but there’s a catch—it also heals your opponent’s Pokémon. When you need to dish out some damage, Eternity Bloom not only hits for 200 damage for threeEnergy, but it also allows you to attach four BasicEnergy cards from your deck to your Benched Pokémon. With its healing capability and a way to do lots of damageandquickly power up your team, Mega Floette ex could prove to be very useful. And it’ll be even more useful if you get the right Stadium card in play (keep reading!).
Beedrill ex
Fans of the Poison Bee Pokémon will be abuzz about this Beedrill ex card, which can become quite powerful if you have a whole swarm of Beedrill at your disposal. This Pokémon’s Rumbling Bees attack does 110 damage for each of your Beedrill and Beedrill ex in play. It might take a bit of work, but if you can fill up your Bench with Beedrill, you could hit the Pokémon in your opponent’s Active Spot for 660 damage for the low, low cost of only oneEnergy. That would definitely sting!
Phantump
It seems like little Phantump is very eager to evolve. Its lone attack, Mumble, does only 10 damage, so we can’t say that we blame it. Fortunately, its Spiteful Evolution is here to help, albeit at a cost. By using this Ability, you can instantly evolve Phantump into Trevenant, assuming you have that Trevenant in your hand. However, when you do this, you’ll also have to place two damage counters on poor Trevenant. Still, it’s likely worth the price to have access to Trevenant’s stronger attacks and higher HP.
Prism Tower
Prism Tower is the gleaming monument standing at the heart of Lumiose City, and as a Stadium card, it gives players the power to refresh their hand. If you find yourself lacking useful cards in the moment, Prism Tower lets you discard two cards from your hand once per turn to draw a new card. This can certainly be useful, and this card becomes even more useful if you have Mega Floette ex in your deck…
Ange Floette
The only way to play the Ange Floette Stadium card is to sacrifice a Prism Tower that’s already in play. You can even put this card into play during the same turn you played Prism Tower. So, what do you get for corrupting Lumiose City’s majestic tower with the device known as Ange, and how does it benefit Mega Floette ex? It’s simple—Ange Floette grants Mega Floette ex an extra 150 HP. Be warned, though, the bonus also affects any Mega Floette ex your opponent has in play too.
You’ll find these and over 120 other cards when the Pokémon TCG:Mega Evolution—Chaos Risingexpansion releases on May 22, 2026.
